Hello, going to be installing the ohlins suspension on the Xdiavel when the weather gets warmer. Local Ducati shop has quoted me about roughly $700 CAD which includes the reset of the oil life monitor. Which I think is ludicrous. I have all the tools required to do the job. Have watched one video on a custom Xdiavel install from Jarrett Campisi via YouTube and helped quite a bit. The instructions that came with the ohlins suspension is not the greatest. My only concern is when I take the original suspension off will the bike collapse in the middle? I have found an alternative to not have to take off the termi’s like the campisi video. Need advice on anyone that has done the install, please and thank you

It is not a difficult job. Did it several times, but can't quite remember on Xdiavel.
If you have the opportunity to provide a support from the roof, a jack strap to take some weight off... Because there is marginal tension in the rear shock when you take it off.

Thanks for the reply Ghorgon, I was able to accomplish the replacement today in about 4 hours. It was -6 degrees Celsius in the garage and pretty warm enough for me in the garage A lot of watching videos on YouTube to get an idea of what I was getting myself into, lol. I was able to lower the termi exhaust without having to take off. I used a scissor lift and put it under where the 4 screws where the oil filter mesh is located to take the weight off. The ohlins instructions is terrible and lots of things missed. But anyways got it done and feel the stiffer suspension already. Once riding season begins will need to adjust it

Yes, usually instructions are missing or bad. Intended professional Dealer and not us who like to DIY

Yes I am glad too, I sat on the bike and feel the difference already. Feels more stiffer and the spring is rated for my weight.

Was not a fan of the stickers that came with the ohlins spring. They where oversized. Bought new stickers on eBay and looks much cleaner and fits the bill
