Congratulations !!

Agree the remarks were a little one sided. I'm thrilled we can get a review from actual riding experience instead of mere speculation.

How's cylinder deactivation ? Does track mode or some other method disable it ?

Does it really have that less range due to gas mileage ?

Does it feel stronger, or at least have a broader power band ? I feel like the V-Twin is stong, but really explodes just before redline, so you don't get much time to enjoy it. Or perhaps that's the rush.......hang on tight when it hits. :)

And how about the sound ? That's one of the most important things for me. Really anxious to see what you think.

I think we will definitely get more insights once more people review the bike.

From what I can gather from listening to reviewers and vlogs is that the Diavel V4 is a different bike from 1260 only sharing the "Diavel" name. During the conference, Ducati was heard to call the Diavel V4 the "Mega Monster" saying that it is a muscle version of the monster. The comparisons are saying that the bike rides like a comfortable Street Fighter and less like an old Diavel. The old Diavel has been said to be more torquey and less of a need to rev it up like the new Diavel V4. I think the Diavel V4 is aiming towards another demographic. Ducati even hesitated to call it a cruiser as they consider it in another category.

Ultimately, if you like the look, have the cash, and like the Street Fighter minus the aggressive stance, I think the Diavel V4 is perfect. The 1260 is a very capable bike and has a different feel and focus with the engine. I would imagine some people will love the new engine and riding dynamics and others will like the old 1260 "Italian cruiser" engine and dynamic. That will be the differentiator in my opinion.

I dont consider my gen 2 a cruiser bike either.
They are in the business to sell bikes thats why they have "conferences."
They tell you all about how the new bike is so superior to anything before it.
I haven't ridden it but the power specs are really close and so is the weight I believe.
Im not sure what a pile of cash gets me that my gen 2 doesnt except some nifty electronics.
Im not saying it isn't a good bike or even a great one, just saying I dont see it running circles around the previous generations.
