It is less than 6 months, my battery is already giving trouble between, I drive the bike once a week like 50km to 100km. I like to upgrade the battery to Lithium battery. I live in Sydney (Australia), I couldn't find anyone does it. So far, whoever I contacted, they only does traditional battery.

Any brand/model suggestions would be great.

This shouldn’t be a problem. When I changed my exhaust I installed a Featherweight Fire Power battery but there are others—Antigravity, Shorai, Duraboost, etc.
Do they ship batteries in Oz?
Weight savings will be about 6 lbs.
You will need a lithium battery specific tender if you switch.

I have seen Antigravity batteries on Oz Online shops. But nobody has any clue about the specifications which fits Diavel.

Batteries on our bikes are the same Yuasa model dating back to the older Diavel in 2011.
May be.

My Diavel is not drivable now even though I tried trickle charging 100%. The bike showed check Engine light after 2km drive and turned off while driving completely. Then bike resets completely and turns on after 15-20secs. I can't drive this to the service centre either

Just get the equivalent to the Yuasa YT12B-BS.
I am going to call the dealer first and see if they have any solution first as the bike is not safe to drive now. It's only 4months, it may be covered in the warranty.
Antigravity batteries not in stock anywhere in Australia. Unfortunately, I cannot import batteries into Australia because of customs restrictions. I can find local brands but they are not ready to confirm it is suitable for my bike or not.

will see...

Hey @InvincibleInDN

I would use what Ducati uses for their Panigale V4 S and R. They use a company called Skyrich.

The model number that works for the Diavel 1260 is HJT12B-FP and is a replacement for the stock OEM Yuasa YT12B-BS.

I think this would be your best bet.

I've see YouTube videos with water coming into the anti-gravity battery since the battery is not well sealed plus others where you need to shave a bit of the contact because the hole doesn't match OEM.

Let me know if you can get Skyrich in Australia.

Also if you store the motorcycle for the winter make sure you use a lithium battery tender/charger and not a standard acid/AGM charger.

I'm curious how it goes with the lithium battery as you save 3 kgs, but my battery is working fine for the moment so waiting for it to die before making the change.

I had upgraded the battery on my 899 to a lithium and it did not go well. Like my Diavel, the battery is right up next to the motor. I believe excessive heat causes damage to the lithium ones. I had the motor die until it cooled off. And performance was shoty. On bikes like the Asian models, where the battery is under the seat, I think those get enough airflow to keep in an operation temp.

@WR Studios / @tkauftheil - Thank you for the response.

I can find a Aussie brand SSB which have Skyrich label on them. This is the brand shows up when I search for Skyrich in Aussie market. I found Shorai brand as well. Will do somemore research before finalizing the battery

I ride the motorcycle once in a week. And its very hard to drive during Winter. So, definitely the frequency of driving during winter would be less. Need to store it.

I called the Roadside assistance to tow the motorcycle to the service center since its only 4 months old and still under warranty. I haven't got any update from them yet. I also, sent the trickle charger with the motorcycle to confirm if it working fine as the motorcycle was on trickle charger when not in use before. I definitely want to upgrade the battery to Lithium. I will do it once I get the bike in working condition. I feel like there is some other problem other than the battery in the bike.

Just an update from the service center. I was told they found nothing wrong with the bike. They found 1 fault code which is to do with Hands-free module which has nothing to do with stalling issue. They also confirmed that battery is look good which I strongly disagree, and all the wiring looks good as well. They are going to do road test and then see what's happening. I did quick googling "Diavel Stalling when riding", found some discussions and none of them found the issue. Some says the issue disappear automatically. Now I am worried.

Another update, the service center called me again and they confirm the issue is reproducible which made me happy. They told me, they going to look into all the electricals now. More waiting now.

Called the service centre again. They still can't isolated the issue. They told me that they replaced relays and couldn't figure out. Just wondering, can't they contact Ducati and see if they had any known issues like this. It's almost 2 weeks now, and they still haven't found the issue. Should I contact Ducati directly? Is there any direct contact details?

Each dealer is different in terms of capability and knowledge. I don't think there is much they are going to do and pretty much point back to the dealer. I have heard some people having issues for longer. Not sure what the experience has been for other people...

I seen posts who talked about similar problems. May be different. One of them claimed installing some racing kit fixed the problem. Some said, issue disappeared automatically.
