Real Seat Lock Jammed

Hi Fellow Riders,

My rear seat lock has jammed and unable to remove seat.

The key turns smoothly all the way but nothing happens.

Has tried to apply pressure on the top of the rear seat, hit the seats all over and has not worked.

Any suggestions would be very much appreciated as I am trying to get access.

Thanks to Jethro's photos, i have a much better idea as to what is under that seat.

The key mechanism turns and returns just fine. But the pushing down on seat and pulling up again has not yet worked.

I will keep trying. Don't laugh too loud, but I have been at it for 3 hours.

Most likely the cable is disconnected from the latch. Maybe an opportunity to buy an upgraded seat and cut off the old one?
