Want to know if anyone has tried to replace the handlebar or any risers to get it closer to the rider, thanks

Hi Everyone eventually got round to ordering these Vorgue bars. Any tips on fitting them please? Another thread suggested removing headlight and both odo/ instrument displays? Thanks in advance. 😉👍🏍🔨

I just placed my order, I will have to say that this was not straight forward.

I hit the link above, but for some reason my Mac decided to translate everything to my language, using google translate or something, lets just say I had a hard time finding the "non list item quotation", as it somehow got translated into the Norwegian version of "non stock market listed element", along with some other hysterically funny translations.

But I got around it, registered an account, sent a request, and within 12 hours I had a quote.
The purchase from the quote was easy, paid with PayPal and now it's on its way.

Oh, and when signing up, I got a 1000 Yen coupon (USD 8), which made a dent in the shipping cost, making the total including shipping USD247 / Euro 238.
Not a bad price at all.

Now to wait and look forward to replacing the bars when they arrive.

The bars arrived on Friday and I swapped them today, all in all it took me about 1,5 hour, but had I done it again or had an extra pair of hands it would have been done in less than an hour.

As far as I can see, I had only one problem with the bars, and that was that the holes for the left grip was too big.
My heated grips were fastened with two M4 (4mm) allen screws, but the pre-drilled holes is 4,5mm, meaning I need to get a pair of M5 (5mm) screws, my local hardware store was out of them so they should arrive on Friday, so currently my left grip is not fixed.
The rest lined up perfectly.

I'm sure many other, like me, wonder just how much this change the bar position.

I did an attempt to get a reference point, so I put a stick across the bars from the center of the grips, and another down to the tank, the stick landed on the fuel filler cap ring, the Vorgue on the cap itself.
Approx 25mm closer to the rider.

Haven't ridden the bike obviously since the left grip is loose, but my initial impression is that this feels more comfortable and to me (174cm/5´8.5"), I think it's an improvement.
I've set it where it felt ok in the garage, but I may adjust it a litte after the first ride.

First off I've been able to ride the bike a few trips now, to me the bars are an improvement.
First I had them rotated a little low, but I set them like in Bandito's picture and that seems to be the best position.
I'm happy with the swap.

Unfortunately I do not want to sell mine.
I was not sure about the change, but I unfortunately dropped the bike at standstill last year after an emergency braking incident, the possibility of having bent bars was what made me do the change.
I have checked my stock bars, the right grip may be about 2mm bent from putting it on a flat surface.
Not a whole lot, but enough for me to not pass it on to anyone.

Long time lurker - I literally signed up just to post this. THANK YOU!
I needed closer bars for some neck problems and I bought these last Friday and they arrived and I installed today. 1-1.5hrs total install time and they help my neck not hurt while riding!

btw - they are no longer special order, you can find them right on the webike website now
