A rainy autumn day and some eBay and so an universal license plate holder order .

But not sure of the result? Go or no go? Or is the stock way best?

One good hit on the suspension and it’ll wrap that plate right up.
Yes, I it is close and that will happen

Nevermind the tail tidy, your bike is not legal with that tire. Might as well skip the plate too! LMFAO!

I tried something similar on my previous bike.......It lasted 1 ride

I'm back to the original solution.
Could have just spent the money on a couple of beer cans instead.
Was not satisfied with this solution.

Obviously our friends in Italy "forgot" that this piece of art needs a place to have the license plate somewhere.

Better off, looks a bit weird on the XD. Also having the NRC side plate looks like it's imitating a slow Harley. In the beginning with the NRC side plate on I've lost my first plate, the plastic screws that came with it just fell off on the highway. I just ended up outing the rear splash guard on and called it a day. I'm currently on my third and last plate and still have it

Rizoma
Expensive but gets it off back of tire. This was my solution but ive been pulled over twice in 6 mos because they said it was obstructed by the rear tire.

@ Steamboat I think I've seen pictures of your bike earlier and use it and some other bike for inspiration. Unlucky for my, my licensplate are to bike and not fit under the seat

Otherwise I think it look good on your bike

Yes, I wish their were more aftermarket options available for this bike. Unfortunately the ones that are tend to be expensive. I have a Rizoma license plate bracket on order and the Rizoma front turn signals on order. Will report back with pics later when I get them installed.
I posted pics of my effort in an earlier post and have found you need 5" of clearance, don't ask how I know lol!
I'm now on mk 2 using NEC rear turn signals and a home made bracket putting the 7x51/2" plate at an angle. So far ridden on my own and two up with only a minimal rub 2 up when I hit a pot hole.

Maybe you just have to hang the number plate on your back!

It can be a solution that too.

But do not know how popular it becomes with the police?

Is at least back to the standard way.
I have a question !!! In regards to plate relocation, how easy is it to re-route the cables for the lights in the tail?
I have order a new cheap universal licensplate holder to try another way. Waiting to it drop in my mail box. I'm not going with a side mount, than it rather be the stock way.

I've already change for Customled integrate brake/turn signal, that gives me a empty socket for the rear light I can use for the licensplate light if I ending up with another solution than stock. What other people did, I don't know. Thruly reroute the wiring...
When I had the NRC side mount plate, I ended up leaving the wires and just hid it where no one can see it.

I've been trying a new solutions for the licensplate location.
Not so different from the last try, but perhaps better? It leaves more clearance for the rear wheel.

Your first design looked better and the plate was legible compared to this one. New one will likely cause you to get a ticket. That's my 2 cents
