Ducati first timer in New Jersey

Hi all,
Joining the forum as a first time Ducati owner. My father's favorite bike brand was Ducati, but he was never able to own one during life. I bought a 2019 Diavel 1260 S with 1198 miles in his honor, and she's been a massive upgrade from my old Buell X1 lightning! The Diavel has a Termi exhaust with the computer mapping, and is bone stock aside from that. The P/O dropped it stopped, so I put a pair of Evotech frame sliders on for when I inevitably do the same at some point in the (hopefully distant) future 😂

This is a beautiful bike, and I'm hoping to have many amazing miles with it!

If you see my thread in this forum, I just joined as well and it's a nearly identical scenario. I literally bought the same bike (2020 for me), in the same color at nearly the same time (mine was delivered at 2pm today!) with termi exhaust as the only mod, and I am in NJ as well. What are the chances? Too funny :ROFLMAO:

I am planning to do the Evotech frame sliders as one of my first purchases for the bike as well. May I ask what vendor/site you bought them from?

Congrats on the bike (y) The termi sounds so good.

Frank,

Do you believe in destiny..? 😂 That's crazy! I got the sliders from Motovationusa.com, they were around $305. I'm thinking about the oil cooler and radiator guards as well.

Glad to see someone else in NJ here!! Whereabouts are you? It'd be nice to have someone to ride with, if you're not too far away!

Ok, I was looking on motivation. I am going to get the oil/rad coolers also and will do fork/axle sliders as well. Pretty much doing all of that protection stuff for my first order and that will be it for the moment. Will do more appearance type stuff in the future like tail tidy, clear clutch etc. Options are endless!

I'm in Ocean County / Toms River.

Yeah, there's a bunch of options! I love the clear clutch plate, but I read that there is an upgrade that's pretty simple to install (it might be from Ducabike?) that makes the clutch super easy to pull in; that's a big consideration for me since it's function over form. I also want to see if I can adjust the clutch to release sooner- it releases so far from the handle in comparison to my previous bike, and I like it a bit tighter than it is currently.

Blast, you're pretty far. I'm way up north, in Sussex county. The roads here are amazing, and with the Delaware River right here, the scenery is pretty great : )

I believe you're talking about the clutch slave cylinder maybe? I read about those a while back somewhere. If that's it, Oberon makes one also.

I kinda figured you would likey be up north.

Yep, just searched again and it seems that's it, the clutch slave cylinder. Good call!

If you're ever up north, throw me a line- it'd be great to ride with another Ducati : D

Man, you're right in my old stomping grounds! I just moved from Berkeley Heights haha I'm about an hour and 15 mins north in Sandyston.

You have a few upgrades that I was considering- including that seat, that looks awesome! What seat is that? Also, how do you like the windshield on there?

The seat is just a cover made by Luimoto. Really nice quality and they offer a gel insert to make the ride a little more comfortable. The wind screen is from Ducati. I am tall so i was getting beat up pretty good at high speed and this helps.

Awesome, thanks for the info! We'll have to see if we can get an NJ Ducati ride going every once in a while, that'd be fun
