Thanks for the comment.

I did see the Bagster. But the only one I could find was from Spain for $170CDN plus $175CDN shipping. The shipping cost more that the Bagster. YA - WOW!!!

I opted for the carbon fibre cover that covers the whole rear part of the tank. I was planning to find protectors for the side cover where the knees go. But I haven't found anything yet. I will google it.

Where did you buy your Bagster?

Thanks again ... safe riding.

all 3 of my bikes panels are blemished with the rear cowl being the worst, ducati is replacing all 3. according to what my dealer was told, the temperature in which the clear was applied was incorrect??? also I was told that there will be a difference in the color of the replacement panels. with that info I don't see how they can replace only 1 panel and the other 2 are bound to do the same thing in time...dropping what 8k plus over a carbon model and then covering it up? switching gears a bit, rumor at a ducati owners track day this past weekend, vw/audi is ready to find a new owner for ducati has anyone else heard the same?

This clear coat issue should have been a recall item. After all we're only talking about 500 bikes, that they brag - "ONLY 500 made". We're not talking about 100s of thousands of cars that have been recalled or of HD's recall. The Ducati rep is making me feel he's being a nice guy replacing the tank cover. I would like to have a chat w him, but the service manager said he only talks to dealers. I will talk with the service manager today and see what he has to say, and try not to look like a whiner / complainer but try to explain the facts. The service manager seems like a very understanding, patient man.

Are there any other Titanium owners having the same issue? Please let us know so we can pass it on to our dealers.

Thanks.

im with you titanium tiger, my dealers exact words were that we are not talking about a scrambler here.... I would have a very hard time accepting mismatched panel colors, not to mention the originals very high chance of doing the same thing in time. to me its not the problem but rather the way one goes about correcting the problem that counts.

LoL! Ask your dealer what can be done about excessive spacing issue between radiator and upper side panels.
This issue has never been corrected AFAIK.

i have #192 and I'm having all of the above mentioned issues, and then some. I will post some pics of my panels tonight... you will be aghast. I'm also having issues with the panels not lining up correctly... seams look like a snap-tite model. ALSO seeing the finish coming off the exhaust headers as well. ADDITIONALLY my starter sprag broke at mile #80, and my fork was leaking before mile #100. Unbelievable from a bike at this price. I'm getting the same run-around from the dealer and the rep, too. Worse... my warranty expires in less than 2 months. I only have 3k miles on this bike and it looks like it's been thru the wringer. Not sure what to do or where to go from here, when the rep won't even talk to me.

Wow sorry to hear of all the Titanium problems. Ducati loves to premium price special edition models that have premium flaws. I bet champagne corks are popped after every so called special edition model is sold, after guzzling the vino during the build.

This is what you have to look forward to as a Titanium owner... if it hasn't already started. This bike has 3K miles on it.

This started on the seat cowl and tank cover first... so the dealer replaced those. It took almost 3 months to get the parts. Now the replacement parts are also peeling away:

There have been some developments in the saga...

After posting this thread here (and others on a few other boards), I sent an email to my dealer's service manager, including links to these forum posts. Several days later, I got a phone call from someone at Ducati North America. He said that he'd been forwarded my email by "one of [his] field reps" and he was very sorry for the experience I was having. He said that Ducati was going to extend my factory warranty by 2 years, and that he was working on how to do that for documentation purposes. I thanked him profusely for this, but I also pressed on the issue of the exhaust finish.

They'd previously told me that they didn't want to replace the exhaust because the problem would simply recur, and offered instead to have the bike's exhaust refinished and ceramic coated by a third party shop. I told him that I wasn't really satisfied with this solution, as it would result in a bike that was no longer "stock;" I feel that the whole value of this limited edition motorcycle is in its finish, and my fear is that their solution would decrease the value of the bike in the long term.

I asked him instead to consider replacing the exhaust system with the full Termi system... this would give me a bike that was still "stock," since the Termi system is a factory option, and this upgrade would show good faith on their part towards making things right. He told me that my request was very reasonable, and although he couldn't promise that, he would try to make it happen. I thanked him again for taking the time to call me personally.

A few of weeks later (last week) I got a call from the service manager at my dealership, who told me that they'd located a termi system on a "demo" bike that they were going to remove and ship to my dealership for installation on my bike. He said they'd received all of the titanium bodywork replacement parts, and that the rep said they were working on giving me something in writing regarding the extended warranty.

So... if they do indeed deliver on what they've promised me, I will be completely satisfied and my Ducati fanboy status restored 100 percent. I will post more updates as things occur, but this doesn't seem to be a quick process. I'm okay with that, as long as the end result is Ducati being true to their word.

Sounds like you got a good result from your dealer.

I now have the same issues as you starting with the Clearcoat and exhaust coat on mine. So i'm hoping that my dealer works as hard for me.

I hope so too, bro. Please keep us posted on the progress. I'd recommend taking lots of pics. GOOD LUCK.
