1260 Tail Tidy/Fender Eliminator

Does anyone know of a decent tail tidy/fender eliminator for a 1260?

The only one I can find is the Evotech one. Not my cup of tea to be honest. Wanting to relocate the plate under the seat somehow (without drilling if I can).

Looking at adding the customled indicators to the taillights as well - https://www.customled.com/products/ducati-diavel-1260-1260s-smart-turn-signal-integrator-kit - But here in Aus, we need to have orange coloured indicators so I dont know if this will work at all. Or if I'll have to take the actual tail lights apart and put in coloured led's. (A lot of work)

I've had a search on the forum for the tail tidy, but couldn't find anything, so was unsure if anyone has successfully created one for the 1260.

Cheers in advance.

So... For anyone that is interested.

I think I have found a way to make a new tail tidy for the 1260 Diavel.

I went to the local Duc dealer today and found out that the cost to buy a new rear grab handle, (like the one that is already on the bike), is about $330 AUD. This is not needed to buy unless you don't want to drill holes into the grab handle that you already have.

My idea is to fabricate a piece of sheet metal into a rego plate bracket that can be screwed directly into the grab handle. Then mount some flat style led bars as indicators, either side of the rego plate. relocate the existing rego plate light to the bracket and presto, an aftermarket grab handle.

for the wiring, I was thinking of drilling a hole all the way through the grab handle to allow the rego plate light cable to pass through it.

Now, I'm not sure how this will work, and if the grab handle will actually be usable afterwards, but I'm pretty sure that I'm gonna give this, (or something similar), a try.

I'll keep you all posted.

To find a nice spot to located the licens plate often pain in the ass.

Already damage 3 holder under my "testing" Unfortunately it is for xdiavel at not yours, so can't help you

But keep up the good work and give us feedback of your work.

At $330 for each grab handle, I dont think I really want to screw it up at all. But I need something other than the hideous stock plate holder and indicator setup.

Me thinks it will be a work in progress.
Evotech Performance ~ $240
It took me (being "hobby" mechanically inclined) about three (3) hours to exchange the black undertail with a red one and to install the Fender Eliminator but it's worth it every penny (at least to me) ...
In my opinion, the guys from Evotech Performance are making pretty much all their accessories "like they belong" to the bikes and great quality but ... costly .
Over the years I used their products on all of my bikes and I was never disappointed .

Can you post a photo of the evotech tail tidy with the brake light turned on please? Thanks!

I have an idea for the indicators, have som eBay stuff on the way that will be modified, will update in a separate thread later.

I can't fit the plate under the seat, it's too big, and a smaller one will just mean I get pulled over all the time......
Debating if I should do a side mounted plate, but not really my preference, I guess I will keep the mud guard and place in stock position, but make something for the indicators.

Fair Warning... this Plate Holder came from China and it took 2 month after placing my order for me to receive it.

See you have done something similar to what I plan to do to my rear turn indicators.

Sadly, the plates in my country are so large that they will cover the tail lights, mini-plates are illegal and I would be pulled over and heavily fined. 3rd time I would be charged with forgery.....

Winter is looming so I will probably see the season com to an end in 1-1,5 month, that gives me a few months to work on projects before the season starts in April.

Yes, I know what you mean, so glad we have the smaller plate, also I didn't want to cover up the brake lights.
I had to make sure the plate is visible, many guys here tuck their plates way underneath the seat which is illegal.

I was wondering... maybe you can attach your plate to a back-pack.

I could do a side mount, but I dont like that look.

Our motorcycle plates are 15 x 22cm or 6" x 8 5/8" so quite big.

I bought some LED indicators on eBay and planned to 3D print a box for them and place them under the seat.
But the other day I had to replace two of the taillights off my BMW 5-series due to cracks, which are LED's as well, so I may go for a different route using the BMW LED's rather than what I originally planned.

Winter project, and since I probably cant re-position the plate, I'm in no hurry. The Euro indicators look better that the US ones also.

first greet you all from Spain, this week I have raised the license plate with a Chinese support like the one that the colleague put a few messages above, the different thing is that I did it at the end of the piece that serves as a handhold, now trying to solve turn signals and taillights.

Did you do any additional modification to bring the plates there? I have a 1260.
