Found the reason for my old Devil dying on his last day of the NZ tour... he has a fried fuel pump. It was a hot day and he had been running all day and I was deliberately low on fuel as we needed to drain fuel out of the bikes before we loaded them onto the ship.
It just felt like he would run...
Has anyone had experience with water getting into the fuel tank, other than from service stations?
I've had one fuel pump die after 10 months, allegedly from corrosion of electrical connectors by water.
Two months later, the replacement pump has also died.
So today was the day I was to ride the new Diavel out of the Dealership,
Got there on time and the gleaming bike was waiting.
The sales guys were all smiles and all the final payments and paperwork completed in 30 Minutes Flat.
