Here’s my story.
November 2019 I was itching to add another bike to my garage.
I at the time, had a 2016 Norton Commando SF 961 and a 2017 Norton Dominator Naked 961.
I wanted a MV Agusta Brutale Oro and as luck had it, I missed the order by one bike as they sold out the same day.
So I decided to go a different route and order a style of bike I never owned before. I placed my order on a 2020 Triumph Bobber TFC. (Triumph / MV Agusta of Detroit) One of only 750 world wide. I placed my deposit and was told it takes 5-6 months to receive after the orders are all placed.

During the waiting period, I started having buyers remorse because I never had a bike like the bobber and the wait was making me second guess myself. Soooooooo I canceled my order.

The same day I called my local Ducati dealer (Ducati of Detroit) site unseen I placed a order on a 2020 Red Diavel 1260s. I was told in 2-3 weeks the bike will arrive. Sure enough my sales guy called me in 2 weeks saying my bike had arrived. I loaded up my trailer and off I went to pick up my new Ducati.

I was in love once I seen the bike for the first time. I loaded it up and headed home.
Here’s where I get weird, I rode the bike for 12 miles. Then I parked it in my garage not riding it because the more I looked at it I seen things I didn’t like.
I couldn’t stand looking at the rear mud guard / plate holder. To me it reminds me of a bumper off a Mac truck. And those turn signals are hideous. (The European version) are way better looking than the USA version. But off they came.
I also didn’t like the bare natural aluminum side scoops.

I called my dealer and placed a order for the following parts.
Black side scoops from the black Diavel
Gloss black tank center from the black Diavel (I wanted to tie the tank colors with the lower fairing)
Ducati Performance carbon fiber front and rear fenders
Ducati Performance headlight surround
Ducati Performance leather seat
Rizoma Multistrada all black gas cap
Rizoma reverse retro mirrors
Custom LED turn signal module
Self made license plate holder

Parts I have on order:
Arrow pro race titanium exhaust
Superlite rear quick change hub assembly in black anodize
Thee D gold and black chain
Titanium front and rear axle nuts
Ducabike black clear clutch cover with red ring
Ducabike black clutch pressure plate
Ducabike red inner pressure plate

Parts I’m undecided on:
BST carbon fiber wheels
Rizoma / Ducabike rear sets
Short clutch and brake levers

In the end I ended up buying the Triumph Bobber TFC. I love it!

Good job, it's always interesting to see how different the same bike can be customized, even if using many of the same parts.

The Ducabike clutch cover is sweet, mine came out looking great with the same combo.
I'm close to finished, but I think I will get a keyless filler cap and probably change the rear wheel nuts.

Sounds great, I'm really keen on the clutch cover as well! Like to see more photos as it progresses.

Are you saying that you bought the Diavel AND the Trumpet and you now have both? Good call, chap.

Norton is one of the oldest motorcycle brands around. It’s a British motorcycle.
The 961 norton went back into business in 2010 and went out of business in 2020 and now bought back and is again in business.

They are all hand built in England with high quality components and detail.

    I have a 2016 Norton Commando SF
and a 2016 Norton Dominator Naked. ( 1 of 24 world wide ) one of 5 in the USA.

Received my SuperLite quick change hub, sprocket, crush drives and carrier today. I must say, it is very light and the quality is top notch.
I bought both the Gold and black anodized axle nuts as I’m not sure which ones I’ll go with.
I’m waiting on the EK black and gold chain to arrive and I hope to have some time to install this all over the weekend.

I’ll be weighing each assembly and comparing weights between the Superlite and the stock OEM hub / sprocket assembly. Also I’ll compare weights between EK 3D chain vs stock DID chain.

My goal is to reduce as much weight as possible with simple bolt ons. I’ll keep a list of weights as I go.

    Those sprockets look cool.
I used a SuperLite sprocket when I had owned a Diavel MY2011. It was good.
Your weight measurement would be helpful for me to choose sprockets.
You must have considered carbon bodywork parts of Ilmuberter.

The only carbon body parts I have are front and rear mudguard and headlight surround.
I like carbon, but not overly done.
I may go with the BST wheels.

    Guys I need an opinion.
    I have a Red Diavel 1260s.
So far I added the gloss black tank center, black side scoops and matte carbon fiber fenders front and rear.
    Matte carbon headlight surround.
    Matte carbon ignition switch panel.
    Matte carbon exhaust shield.
Matte carbon lower oil cooler surround.
I have the titanium Arrow pro race exhaust on order.

Now I’m thinking of doing my wheels in a matte gold finish. Thoughts?
I know these are not pics of a Diavel but it’s the closest I can find.

I like the idea. Can you do a photoshop mock up? I love the colour of the Lamborghini 1260S wheels too

that’s another option I considered. They do give a great weight savings and handling benefits.
