I love all types of music. Be it rock, jazz, blues, house, trance, rap, etc. I especially love the 80's. Post some clips of songs/videos of interest. I will start it off with some classics...

A great old band from the 70's in Oz (Daddy Cool) with a humorous tune! (Wahoo, Coop & Johnno may remember this one, possibly even Fred?).

    Interesting. Humorous indeed!

The only Daddy Cool I recall is Boney M (but then again, I'm just a pup):

I never knew until recently that Men at Work was sued for the "kookaburra" song for copyright infringement in their song Down Under (the flute).

One last one - the legendary Skyhooks (my misspent youth in the 70's).

Haven't heard Daddy Cool since, well last night.
Manly rugby league team (the sea eagles) use Eagle Rock as their song.
    So it plays after games.

I'm mostly a metal fan, listening to Avantasia as I post this.
Megadeth, Iron Maiden, Iced Earth would be my top 3 faves.
But I'll stretch as far as ELO and plenty of 70s rock

It's ok. Hard not to like Beatles but it feels like most pop, disposable.
Wouldn't make my top 1000 songs.
The only Beatles song I have in my collection is Helter Skelter.

it is very pop, very disposable. but a great song nonetheless. definition of "great song" will obviously differ amongst us.

Speed Racer, you've got me going now.
Sorry for being so totally Aussie biased, but how about ACDC?
Maybe not as heavy as you like DN, but still a classic IMO.

ELO, now there's a blast from the past. Loved em.
