I used to do this trips on Diavel (http://www.diavel-fo...4970-alps-2016/), but recently I got really bored of it. Such a touring bike after all.

Anyways, hopefully no one will be offended. After all, I still own both !

Most of my trips start in Bellagio. It's a nice place to have a morning cappuccino at.

Posted Image

After that I normally take a ferry to Varenna to reach the mainland. Lake Como in the morning hours is so calm and quiet.

Posted Image

This time around, on way to Stelvio I decided to pass by St Moritz. So, after Varenna I turn north to Swiss.

Posted Image

It's June, so dandelion season. They look lovely in the Alps.

Stelvio was opened just a week ago, in time for Giro d'Italia. Still covered in snow.

After Stelvio, I go to Jaufen pass. It's an awesome fast mountain road, all the way to the top.

Next on the list, is Dolomites.

Dolomites my favorite mountains for motorbiking.

All in all, I understood that I outgrown the Diavel and will never be riding it again!

I do miss living in the Alps ...
The SE of the UK doesn't really offer up the same motorcycle experience ... :cool

Well noted!

Unfortunately I don't live in Italy too. But luckily I managed to find a garage there where I keep a motorcycle. Easyjet is quite cheap to Milan.

Unbelievable scenery (again) you lucky bastard.

You must be taller than me (I think that bike would be too hard for me to get on and off).

You have "grown out of" your Diavel and will "never ride it again"..?

I haven't ridden mine for months but I am going back to it in about two weeks when the Harley runs out of registration and "retires" for the winter..

Beautiful pics - must've been an incredible ride :thumbup

I used to take a train down to Austria from Sweden every year for an annual ski vacation and I really do miss those trips. As much as I love the Rockies, there's just something about the Alps.

Thanks for sharing

I'm 182cm. When I sat on Diavel after I've been riding KTM for a month or two, it felt so akward, like I was sitting on Harley.

Diavel was fun, now it's time to move on to this bad boy:

Although, it will be a bit of a wait. They only start manufacturing them in June.

Great scenery pics! Is that the RS tire on the Diavel a year ago? Not even available here yet. Like?

i can understand the liking for the Brutale.

Bit of an MV fan myself.

Keeping my Diavel company in the shed is this MV F4 312R.

I rode the Brutale Dragster RR a while back and LOVED it in only a couple of kms.

Much lighter than the Diavel, all the techno fruit and a wonderful exhaust note.

Got off it after about twenty minutes in the Adelaide hills with the biggest grin.

Man that is absolutely gorgeous! Makes riding in the US look like a joke!

That Brutale is bad ass. Work of art. I loved the bike when I saw these new models released. Unfortunately that company is so unstable, I wouldn't risk owning. And forget about service and parts.
