I have been riding for over 30 years, been on a few different bikes, but nothng more modern than my old 1986 Honda V65 Magna. I cant even begin to tell you how much better of bike the Diavel is. Ducati broke the mold, they took a huge change an as far as I am conserned they hit a home run!
I think the Diavel grows on you, You start out looking at one and

I'm hoping that is every bit of the experience that I have. Just today left to go and then I get to go pick my bike up tomorrow morning.
Wolfshanks.....Even waiting for weeks would seem unbearable. I guess I'm one of those instant gratification types. The one thing about waiting is that it makes you all the more excited and anxious for the day when it comes.

So I picked the bike up on Saturday and all I can say is Wow. I didn't take a demo ride before I purhcased and I'm glad to say I couldn't be any happier with the bike. The riding position, power, and handling are phenomenal and I don't think I could have picked a better motorcycle to get back into riding with. Now that I have had it for 5 days or so, I'm glad to say I've been out every day except for one and it brings a smile to my face every time.

I did read the suspension thread. It seems that the first 3/4 should be disregarded as the full tolerances of the adjustments weren't correct. After someone stated what the full adjustments were, it seems that no one has posted up there suspension setup since. I asked my dealer to help me get the suspension setup (never tuned suspension before) and he stated they only set sag for the super bikes because the riders weight is higher in proportion to the overall weight of the rider and motorcylce. I haven't taken the time to mess with the settings yet, but the dealer did state the suspension was setup with the defaults. Hopefully, they actually set it that way unlike some of the other posts I have read.

I have just put a deposit on a Diavel Red and will pick it up in late September. Like you, I am returning to motorcycling, and have recently ridden on refresher courses and ended each day with a very broad smile.
Ducati's in general, and the Diavel in particular, are jaw-droppingly stunning and certainly not run of the mill.
I look forward to comparing notes when I have had my demo ride and collected my own bike.
Regards, Neil

I am also new to the Diavel World. I was recently the winning bidder on a 2011 Carbon Red with only 500 Miles on the Odometer. Currently I'm arranging my trip to go pick her up as the Bike is in Texas and I Live in South Florida.
I was hoping you all could give me some input on things I shouild be aware of such as any Recalls Or Things I should be on the look out for before I Close the Deal.
Thanks!
